Lg g Stylo, "no command" please help me!
Android Forums. Freeze Time Member. I've noticed that my battery doesn't last as long after upgrading to 6. Well, I follow the directions: turn the phone off, hold power and volume down button at the same time until LG logo appears then release and then push them again at the same time until recovery mode appears.
This never happens. I hold it all the way through the Metro PCS boot up and it puts my phone in safe mode. I also tried holding power and volume down at the same time and just releasing when the LG logo appears and still no recovery.
I want to fix my battery drain. DB Well-Known Member. First are you rooted with Custom Recovering? If not, you'll need to be. If so, you don't take your fingers off both buttons. I am not rooted. I went directly to the LG website and it said nothing about being rooted.Have you bought the new LG G4?
If you have, then you are now probably trying to learn how to properly use your new Android based device — no, I am not talking about general tasks, but about more dedicated Android related procedures.
Thus, in that respect, I am going to help you out by detailing compatible tutorials. In that matter, during the following guidelines we will be checking on how to enter and use recovery mode on your LG G4. If you are coming from another LG branded smartphone such as the LG G3then reaching recovery mode will be an intuitive process to achieve — the reboot sequence is in fact the same as it was for the LG G3.
On the other hand, if you are using a LG device for the first time, then you will notice that entering recovery mode is a little bit different from other handsets, such as Samsung, Motorola or HTC.
Anyway, either way, check all the guidelines from below and learn everything about this dedicated operation; I have explained everything so that even a newbie can understand why and how to use recovery mode on the LG G4.
First of all, you need to know that recovery represents an in built feature that can be accessed by default on your LG G4, like on any other Android based smartphones or tablets. So, bottom line, through recovery mode you can optimize, customize, maintain, backup and tweak the Android system that powers your LG G4. Of course, this access will be limited depending on the recovery mode that runs on your Android device. As you might know, by default, your phone comes pre installed with the stock recovery image, a feature that also has numerous factory and default restrictions — thus, your access will be limited by default you can perform only official operations.
But, if you choose to remove this stock recovery with a dedicated software a custom recovery image, such as CWM or TWRP recoverythen you can really consider in taking your LG G4 to a higher level of performance.
You see, with a custom recovery image installed, you will be able to perform processes such as: ensuring root accessinstalling custom kernels, updating with custom ROMs such as CyanogenMod, AOKP, or ParanoidAndroidremove bloatware, overclock your Android devicemaking Nandroid backups and so on.
Also, rebooting your LG G4 into recovery mode will be required if you will want to hard reset your device, if you want to clear cacheor if you will have to manually resolve different Android related software issues like boot loops, lags, bugs, force close errors, battery drain, heating problems, screen freeze, or total blackouts. Good; so now you know when and why you have to use the recovery environment on your LG G4.
Another thing to know is that entering recovery is official. Thus, completing this tutorial will not imply in using a complex or risky tool. Moreover, the process will remain official even if on your G4 a custom recovery is ensured, or if your phone is rooted or installed with a custom ROM firmware.
Therefore, you have nothing to worry about — everything will be safe and secured, whether you are looking into tweaking your Android device, or if you are just thinking in applying an official Android operation.
Now, if you do want to use the recovery environment for applying a further unofficial process, before doing so, backup your LG G4 — when dealing with complex operations, your data might get corrupted or even wiped out. Next, you have to follow:.Today, here we will guide you on how to root your LG Stylo 5 using Magisk.

Related : Dozens of premium Android apps go on sale every single day. If you take a look at the tutorial I wrote for booting the Nexus 6P into Recovery Modethat device has the Android figure lying on its back as well. When we get there on the Nexus 6P, we need to hold down two buttons to boot past that screen and get to the Recovery Mode main menu. You can watch the video or read the explanation below if you need to figure out how to get out of Recovery Mode afterwards.
Again, my difficulties navigating to the LG G5 Recovery Mode main menu might be limited to my specific device. So please, if you are able to get to the LG G5 Recovery Mode main menu with your specific LG G5, then please let me know about it in the comments section below.
With all that done, go ahead and launch the ADB and Fastboot tools shortcut that gets created and then type the adb devices command.
Type in the command adb reboot recovery and you should see the LG G5 instantly reboot. This should take you to a screen where you see a little Android figure laying on its back with the chest panel open just like you see in at the top of this article.
Now, this is usually where you would press and hold the Volume Up button and then press the Power button to bypass this screen and get to the LG G5 Recovery Mode main menu. If you need to get out of the LG G5 Recovery Modeyou can simply pull the battery and then boot it up like normal after you plug it back in.
